I hope this post finds you enjoying your Sunday afternoon in your "Happy Place"
I got to play with a random (Non-Stampin' Up!)stamp this week for some Easter Cards. I will post a video about the masking technique on Wednesday (the video is here) as part of my "Ways to use it Wednesday" Series on my YouTube Channel. I will also be using a Stampin' Up! Easter Stamp with that card.
But for today's card, I used a random image from my stash. I don't even remember where I got it from. Sorry!
I also played along with THREE challenges for this card. I will link them all below for you.
I started out by painting on a mask for the word "Easter" with a cardstock stencil I made from cutting out the letters with the "Hand Lettered Prose Dies" (All supplies listed below)
I traced the cut-out word onto some watercolor paper, then painted some PEBEO Drawing Gum inside the letters I traced so that when I watercolored the background the word "Easter" would remain white. I used Strathmore Bristol Smooth Watercolor paper for this project because it's so smooth and would allow a nice clean edge for painting the drawing gum on.
Again, I'm posting a tutorial for this technique on Wednesday. Subscribe to my channel so you don't miss that video! It's so much fun!

After the drawing gum was dry, I painted a wash of water on the entire piece of watercolor paper. Once the paper was wet, I added the 4 colors in a random pattern. I used re-inkers, Shimmer Paint and water as my painting medium. Once painted, I set the watercolor paper aside to dry naturally. Once the watercolor paper was dry I rubbed off the drawing gum with an adhesive remover eraser to reveal the words Easter.I added some random sequins from my stash and some Nuvo Drops. I love how it turned out!
I colored the Bunny Stamp with some Copics then fussy cut him out, curled his ears, then glued him down. I stamped the word "Happy" on a piece of black cardstock then used some white embossing powder to make the sentiment pop. And that's pretty much it.
My video on Wednesday will go into much more detail.
As for the Challenges I entered, they are as follows;
-Anything Goes-
-Any Holiday Cards-
