Easter Egg Treat Holders

For today's Way's to use it Wednesday I'm going to show you how to use 2 different punches and a die in a way that you may not have thought of before.
The colors are so bright and cheery.
These little egg holders are sure to brighten up any dinner table for easter.
I found the "Eggs" at Costco, they came in a HUGE bag and are pretty much the same size as a Kinder Surprise Egg. so you know about what size eggs to hunt for 'pun intended' lol
You can choose any colors you like for your treat holders as you may find eggs with different wrapping.
The colors I used are listed below in the Supply List.

Here is a Tutorial Video so you can see exactly how I made these little cuties!
How easy was that? Here are the measurements I said I would list for you.
Cut one piece of cardstock to measure 8 1/2 X 2
Score at; 3/4, 2 3/4, 3 1/2 * 5 1/2
Cut another piece of cardstock to measure 4 X 2
Score at 1/4, 1", 3" & 3 3/4
It's important to use a very sticky adhesive like the one I listed below so that your containers do not fall apart.
Question: Are you going to make these for your Easter Dinner Table or do you have another use in mind?
Let me know in the comments below what you will be using these for. I love hearing your ideas!

I want to CASE that, BUT...?!?!

Masculine Valentine's Card

Have you ever fallen in love with a card and wanted to CASE it, but didn't have the right papers or other items? That's exactly what happened to me this week. I knew right away when I saw this card (pictured below) I didn't have the background, gold or silver papers. Nor did I have black sequins.

 Cased Card

(Created by Rochelle Blok)

However, I knew I could recreate the papers no problem, so I went to town and winged it! I'm pretty happy with the results. I'm new to filming card videos, so by the time I got to the end of the card creation, recoding with live voice, I totally forgot to do my sequins. But, have no fear! I will tell you how to do them. Grab the sequins of your choice, any color of Staz On (Ink should be darker than your sequins), a Take Your Pick tool, and some tweezers. If your pad is pretty juicy you should be able to hold the sequin with some tweezers, then press it into the Staz On pad with your Take Your Pick Tool. Set the sequins aside and let them dry completely. Then voila! You have perfectly colored sequins!

Check out the video below

Anyhow, back to the card, in the video below I take you 'step by step' through the process of recreating the background paper and how I made the gold and silver gears. You won't believe how easy it was! Let me know if this inspired you to make your own background. Or better yet, if you just love being able to make your own gold and silver embellishments now let me know! I love hearing from you.

Until next time, Happy Stampin'!
