Watercoloring is so much fun! I love trying out all the different ways to watercolor.
Whether it be with pencils, liquid, or in a pan, I love them all!
Today I brought out both sets of the Stampin' Up! Watercolor pencils.
They are sooooo easy to work with. If you can color, you can watercolor with these!
I really love this floral arrangement from the "Ornate Style" set, which might I add is a NEW RELEASE in the upcoming Annual Catalog. When I finished watercoloring it, I noticed that there were going to parts of the inside that would be very very difficult to cut out. So I figured if I colored them in I could create a background that matched and hide the fact I didn't cut out the 'inners'.
For the background I created, I used a different type of shaving cream technique. It's probably been done before, but I wanted to come up with a way that allowed me more precision when applying the ink. I think it worked out perfectly and looks really cool!
I did create a video for you to watch. I sped up the watercoloring. I'm not a watercolor instructor, so I didn't want to attempt to go on and on about what you should or shouldn't do. So I sped it up and just told you what works for me when I watercolor.
Here is the VIDEO for you
Question: Had you seen that Shaving Cream on a block Technique before?
Let me know in the comments below if you plan on trying this. I love hearing from you!
**Some Non-Stampin' Up! supplies you may see me use I cannot provide links to due to conflicts of Stampin' Up! carrying a similar item. I will mark these items with 2 asterisks if they appeared on my blog.
