Adorable Easter Bunny with Watercolor Background

Hello, Stampers and Fellow Paper Crafters!
I hope this post finds you enjoying your Sunday afternoon in your "Happy Place"
I got to play with a random (Non-Stampin' Up!)stamp this week for some Easter Cards. I will post a video about the masking technique on Wednesday (the video is here) as part of my "Ways to use it Wednesday" Series on my YouTube Channel. I will also be using a Stampin' Up! Easter Stamp with that card.
But for today's card, I used a random image from my stash. I don't even remember where I got it from. Sorry!
I also played along with THREE challenges for this card. I will link them all below for you.

I started out by painting on a mask for the word "Easter" with a cardstock stencil I made from cutting out the letters with the "Hand Lettered Prose Dies" (All supplies listed below)
I traced the cut-out word onto some watercolor paper, then painted some PEBEO Drawing Gum inside the letters I traced so that when I watercolored the background the word "Easter" would remain white.  I used Strathmore Bristol Smooth Watercolor paper for this project because it's so smooth and would allow a nice clean edge for painting the drawing gum on.
Again, I'm posting a tutorial for this technique on Wednesday. Subscribe to my channel so you don't miss that video! It's so much fun!
After the drawing gum was dry, I painted a wash of water on the entire piece of watercolor paper. Once the paper was wet, I added the 4 colors in a random pattern. I used re-inkers, Shimmer Paint and water as my painting medium. Once painted, I set the watercolor paper aside to dry naturally. Once the watercolor paper was dry I rubbed off the drawing gum with an adhesive remover eraser to reveal the words Easter.I added some random sequins from my stash and some Nuvo Drops.  I love how it turned out!

I colored the Bunny Stamp with some Copics then fussy cut him out, curled his ears, then glued him down. I stamped the word "Happy" on a piece of black cardstock then used some white embossing powder to make the sentiment pop. And that's pretty much it.
My video on Wednesday will go into much more detail.

As for the Challenges I entered, they are as follows;
-Anything Goes-
-Any Holiday Cards-
Challenge #378
-Sketch Challenge-

Card Sketch #4

Loads of Love - Valentine's card

I just love the Ride With Me & The Gangs All Mere stamp sets, so I figured let's use them together!
Common! That little Meerkat popping his head up in the truck is just too adorable!!
My card sketches are always posted on my Facebook Page before they go live anywhere else on the internet. If you want to get a head start on them and see them first, request to join us here.
I started out with an A2 top folding card using Bermuda Bay 8 1/2 X 11 Cardstock and I turned it on its side for a different perspective.
I then embossed a mat of Whisper White 8 1/2 X 11 Cardstock which was 1/4" smaller than the card with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder (All links to supplies are below) Then I used a Sponge Dauber to very lightly bring up the bricks in the background. I used a very light touch and just swiped back and forth until I achieved the desired look. You can adhere this down with any adhesive but I used some blue fun foam I found at Walmart (cut 1/4" smaller than the mat).
Then, I stamped the image twice on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink as this is the best combination of paper and ink to use our Stampin' Blends markers with. The ink won't bleed!  I stamped it twice as I wanted to cut the tires out and pop them up over the tires below to add some dimension. I listed the markers I used down below in the supplies.

Using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies I cut out the hearts and trimmed them to the desired size and pieced them into the back of the truck. I used some Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up a few of the negative hearts to add dimension and visual interest. I also die-cut the word love out of a piece of Whisper White CS that I had used to test the color combo of the 3 green markers.
Why waste it right?!
I cut the background for the truck using the second largest rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies, then stamped the word "You" from the Well Said stamp set. I felt the need to add some dots to each scallop to close in the background using my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. Give this background a little dimension too by adding some Stampin' Dimensionals =)

Lastly, I used the same 3 green markers I used to color the truck and made a gradient strip on a scrap piece of Whisper White, then used the long die from the Stitched Be Mine set and cut it out twice. I trimmed the pieces then glued them together to make a wider strip.
Then I finished it off with some Whisper White Bakers Twine and some of the Twine out of the November Paper Pumpkin "Winter Gifts"

I hope you enjoy this card! Let me know if it inspires you, or what you thought of it in the comments below. I love hearing from you =)

Happy Stampin'!

Card Sketch #3

This week I decided to use the most adorable set from the Sale-a-Bration Rewards. The Gangs all Meer (not available to customers until Jan 3, 2020) is a FREE REWARD with ANY $60 purchase. They are just too adorable! I wanted to be playful and creative with this set, so I started by cutting 3 squares out of my cardstock with the Layering Squares Dies (Supply List is below). Then, I positioned a smaller piece of cardstock behind the top layer with the squares cut out and drew some pencil lines so I knew where to position the individual Meer stamps.
I colored each Meer the same, then also used Stampin' Blends to color in the background behind each Mere. Framed each window with a frame also made with the Layering Squares Dies and adhered around each window. Cut out each party hat, then added a Pom Pom. I choose to doodle over the background of each window to add visual interest.
I colored each of the embossed sequins on the background with Wink of Stella and cut the word  "Happy" out with the Well Written Dies from a piece of paper I blended with Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay and Petal Pink Classic Stampin' Pads.
. I embossed the word "Birthday" in white on Basic Black CS, then carefully cut it out by hand. Added a few Sequins and Voila! A fun playful birthday card was born!
