Today I'm going to show you what I use to create all my splatters & sprays. I will show you how I mix them and what different types of spritzers I use to achieve the different looks.
There are many many ways to make your own splatter & sprays, this is just how I choose to do it.
I tend to lean towards using the "Heat Protectant Spray" because, well, not only does it smell nice, I find that over time, the heat protectant spray helps all the mica (the small shimmer granules) adhere to the paper. Remember, when 'splattering' you are applying little 'globs' of the mixture, so you want the shimmer to stick and last over time. Back in the day, we used to use hairspray, but I found that hairspray clogs up the spray mechanisms and heat protectant spray did not. This is just what I have found personally.
As for the heat protectant spray, the Pantene Bottle I have had for a decade is almost used up, I couldn't find that exact same one so I tried the Herbal Essences. It worked the same way. I'm sure ANY heat protectant spray will work just fine for you
Question: Have you made your own splatter & shimmer sprays? What worked for you?
