DWA Challenge 22 - Spring has SPRUNG!!

Well, Spring has sprung!! (for most people anyhow! lol) Here in Northern Ontario we still have snow on the ground, the lake still has ice on it, and my water still freezes at night, but I try to look on the bright side and think "At least I am on THIS side of the ground to observe"!!! Tee Hee

Keeping in the theme of spring we bring you a fun challenge over at the Digi's With Attitude! Challenge Blog this week. As long as your project has something to do with Spring you are good to go.
I chose to use Bubblebath Tween for the Spring theme this week (I know, its a stretch lol) because our water has finally thawed out (during the day anyhow) and I can actually have a bath (with water I didn't buy in a 5 gallon jug lol). Not to mention we opened our hot tub this week! YAY!! Can't actually have a real bubble bath in there, but it sure is pretty looking at the stars when we are in it =)

DWA Challenge #21 - Bunny Tween & New Store

Oh my! You have no idea how good it feels to be back on track! The team is bouncing, new images are going to start pouring out, and I can finally stamp again!! YAY

I couldn't wait to get my Copics on this image. I just love Bunny Tween! She is perfect for my Easter cards this year. She will release in the store today, so be sure to add her to your collection of Easter favorites =)

This week is Challenge #21 at The Digi's With Attitude! Challenge Blog. It is so easy to play along this week as it is Easter Cards!! Whoo Hoo!! Spring has sprung *grin* Come play along with us!

Now I won't claim to be one of the best Copic Marker colorer (is that even a word? lol)

But I am learning as I go.This is only about the 10th image I have ever colored with Copics.

They are not quite as easy as I thought they were to color with.

It takes me twice as long now to color an image,

but I think it is totally worth it.

There sure is a lot of trial and error going on at my table.

Not to mention A LOT of duds that I would NEVER post! haha

What would I do without all the fantastic U Tube Tutorials?

I would definitely be lost *pouty lip*

My favorite gal is Suzanne Dean! If you are learning how to use Copics,

she is definitely an awesome source for training!

Digi’s With Attitude! DT Call

Calling all Designers With Attitude! Digi’s With Attitude! is currently accepting applications for the next term. Be Brave! Be Sassy! Get the 'Tude and apply TODAY! Application Deadline: March 28^th, 2011
It is a short call period, but I know we will find some amazing ladies!

Requirements:

Must be willing to commit to a 6-month term. April 2011 – October 2011

During your term you will submit 1 project a week (By Wednesday for the Friday Challenge) using Digi’s With Attitude! Digital Stamps. Therefore you must understand how to use Digital Stamps.

In an effort to share your creations, you must have a well-maintained blog that you will be required to post your projects on. Your blog can be in ANY language, but you must be able to communicate with the team in english.

Your photo quality must be clear and crisp. Many people have not made the team in the past for poor photo quality, don't let this happen to you.

You may be asked to participate in Blog Hops (no more than once a month - with a min. 2 weeks notice). You may also be asked to post promotions, or events for Digi’s With Attitude!

If you currently a DT member for another company you are more than welcome to apply if you think you can fulfill the above stated requirements. However, no experience is necessary.

Application deadline: Midnight (EST) March 28th, 2011Design Team Benefits:As a DT Member, you will receive free digital stamps from Digi’s With Attitude! You will also receive a 50% store discount during your term. All images that are given to the DT will be chosen by your team leader with the exception of the “your choice” challenge once a month which allows you to choose any image from the store.

Your Name & Blog will appear on the Digi’s With Attitude! Challenge Blog.

Guess Who!?!? Tee Hee (Freebie Image too)

WOW!! Over 2 months with no Internet but I am back online!
So what has been up with me? Well... I have been out at our vacation property since New Years Eve. I did not expect to be here this long, but after careful thought and consideration, I recently moved out here full time! It has been a winter full of snowmobiling and ice fishing and spending time with my sweetie! As he had 6 weeks vacation time! YAY
Only trouble was I only had dial up Internet, and that did not allow me to effectively post, email, or do pretty much anything online.
I did solve this issue this week tho, with a new Internet hub. Which offers me much faster speeds than dial up. Please know that if you sent me an email I replied, even though I am hearing from many that they did not receive my replies. What's up with that!?!? Also, if you are in my address book and received spam (this happened 2ce) I am so very sorry! I did change my passwords so that this will not happen again. It happens to the best of us I guess.

My stampin' space is MUCH smaller out here, but I have the essentials. Today I colored a St. Patty's image and realized I had not touched a stamping supply since before Christmas! Boy was I having withdrawls. lol

I don't have a finished project for you today, but know that I am back and will be posting on a regular basis now. I will however post the FREE Coloring page I found at Coloring Page Tuesdays, cropped up and colored this morning =) Enjoy!

Just a quick note to say yes, I am alive and well... and did not completely go nuts over the holidays! I am however going on vacation for 2 weeks, so My Inkie Fingers will be a ghost town!! lol... I have not had any time to preschedule any posts *pouty lip*

AI Factory Challenge - Elegance

This week AI Factory has an awesome challenge.

ELEGANCE

Color up your stamps, and put them on ANY elegant project

Here is what I came up with.

After I colored Ella up with my Prisma Colored Pencils,

I went to TOWN on the flowers & Stickles! haha

The rose buds are actually pretty tall... so in order to

match the larger flowers I had to raise them up with

4 foam pop dots. So they are really raised up.

My mum asked me how on earth I planned on mailing

this card to someone!! I guess I will have to give it

to someone nearby rather than attempt to mail it.

She is just the cutest little princess!

After I colored her up with an assortment of Prima Pencils

and Sakura Shimmer Markers, I added some ribbon,

rosebuds, and a cool bobby pin I found at the Dollar

Store in a set.

Holiday Celebrations

Winter Diva Tween - Brrrrrr!!!! It's cold outside

Well it is defiantly winter now! At least where I am it is. We got hit with a lot of snow this last week. Which I must say I am very very pleased about. I am sure Gizmo would beg to differ tho, as each time he goes outside he nurses his cold paws... awwww... I always feel so bad for him. Maybe I should start putting his Muttlucks on him even for short potty sessions in the yard!

Yesterday you met Winter Diva Tween, so today I thought it was best to show you her all colored up.

I wish wish wish my Copics would hurry the heck up! I am just

DYING to use em! I have never even tried them... so it is such a

tease knowing they are in transit but not here yet.

Sigh, I used Prisma Color Pencils yet again! lol

Then I added some Martha Stewart Shimmer to the image

It gave it such a frosty look! I love it!

The sentiment is A Muse... I know, I am behind on

making sentiments... so many things to do!

The Tweens With 'Tude are finally here! They were a stubborn sassy little bunch and I had a hard time getting them to pack their bags and move into the store! I cannot believe how much a tween can pack up. Those suitcases were sure heavy! However, they are here and settled now.

Bruiser, the latest Animal With Attitude, guarded Rockband & Winter Diva Tween as they made their way past all the Paparazzi so they could walk down the red carpet today for photos. (tee hee) They really are sooo adorable. I am sure you will come to love them as much as I do.

save this card forever, as it was the first card I ever made

with a Tween. I wish I could find little shadow boxes

perfect for displaying and preserving cards!

AI Factory Challenge - Winter! & HB 2 ME grin

This week at AI Factory we bring you a WINTER Challenge!

Are these Holiday Birds not just too adorable?

I colored up the digi stamp with my Prisma Colored pencils, and added

some Martha Stewart Shimmer. Perfect touch! (IMHO)

I also added some awesome holiday branches I found at Michael's

and a ribbon and I was all set! Eazy Peezy!

I am especially happy about this Challenge as it was Winter,

and winter has finally arrived here in North Bay!

I would have been so upset if there had not of been snow

on the ground for my birthday (which yes, is today *grin*)

I am going to give myself the gift of safety and go out

and buy some new snow tires... I figure I should keep myself

safe at least until my 144 Copic markers arrive lol...

which should be ANYDAY NOW!!! YAY!!

My Grafico Challenge #78 - Winter Wreath

I especially loved the set we got to work with this week,

but I was so upset the card just did not turn out the way I wanted it to.

You can't tell at all in the pic that the image is completely covered in Crystal Effects,

and even worse, it wouldn't crack for me!!

Maybe I have forgotten how to do the 'cracked glass' effect??

I donno... but here it is just the same =)

I was even more disappointed that Crystal Effects makes printer ink bleed.

Trial and error I guess. However, it didn't bleed too badly, I am not even

sure you would have noticed unless I mentioned it, but we can't all

be perfect right? Then it's just not 'homemade' anymore!! lol

I did merge the 2 Digi Stamps together so the sentiment fit

perfectly in the beautiful wreath, which I was very pleased with.

I loved coloring this up with my SU markers... as I am STILL

waiting on my copics!! Grrrr!! I wish they would get here already

I am DYING to play with them!!

I made the AI Factory DT!! & This weeks AIF Challenge

I found AI Factory a few months ago while I was

roaming around online, and really liked a lot of their images.

I have never really been much of a challenge player,

until I started my own challenge blog.

So after I did that I noticed a lot more challenges

out there and saw AI Factory had one too!

Then I noticed they had a DT Call, and I was all over it right away.

I have only recently been added to the team,

but I know I will be very happy there over the next

few months as they are such nice ladies!

You definitely need to go check out the store and challenges =)

For this challenge we got to work with "Alicia Skating"

She really is a little cutie!

I colored her up with my Prisma Colored Pencils.

Of course I had to add some snow to the image!

So I used some flocking. Did you know that you

can put Styrofoam balls in a really sharp super blender

to make your own flocking? I use the Magic Bullet!

It works perfectly!! If you add a few drops of food coloring

or ink (if you don't plan on using it for food again) then your

flocking comes out in different colors! Neat huh?

Maybe I will do a tutorial on this soon. It's so easy =)

I did this image all in Martha Stewart glitter. It was very

deserving of all the sparkle and shine! Then I added a bunch of glitter

and sparkle to the BG paper too. Which I think turned out beautifully!

This was a super quick card! Anyone can do this in less than 30 mins

and look at how elegant it looks! Perfect for the holidays =)

Crispy Cool Snowman & A Blog Award!!

I came across this snowman freebie a few weeks ago,

now normally I am VERY good at saving things

with a blog name, but for some reason all I have is

snowman_doveart for his name.

I can't find the blog that posted it. *hangs head in shame*

So sorry!! If you know where his mommy is please

let me know so I can credit her for the freebie =)

He really is too adorable! I colored him up with my Prisma Color pencils

(My copics are STILL on the way - please hurry up Mr. Postman)

I colored the arms and branches with a silver Sakura Gel Pen

to make them look really really frosty!

Then I added some flocking all over to make him look crispy cool!

I cut the snowflakes out on the cricut, then heat embossed them

with some white shimmery powder. Added the shimmer ribbon

and it was all done! I love the way he turned out =)

I had to have a Pug Digi Stamp, as I own a pug.

I am always dressing him up for different occasions,

so I figured a Santa suit was perfect!

I have to admitt, he really isn't very impressed when I do this,

so I figured Pugly Santa was perfect for the Animals With Attitude! line.

I colored him up with my prisma colored pencils in all the colors

of my pug, Gizmo. Then I added some glitter to the Santa outfit.

I thought the little letter to santa was a cute added touch.

When I was at Walmart with my mum last week, I was looking for some

poinsettia flowers, but came across some silver branch like stuff,

and little balls covered in glitter. I grabbed a bunch in Silvers

and Reds, as I thought they were perfect for holiday cards.

Tee Hee... I giggle every time I look at this image!

Doesn't she look like the most adorable little 'snoot' as she sits there with her Martini? Speaking of Martini's. have you ever tried a Chocolate Martini? Omgosh!! My boyfriend makes them for me as a treat. I just love them! Only trouble is you are done for after you drink a couple as they are 100% alcohol! Tell me, what's your favorite Martini?

Gretchen loves Chocolate Martini's too! Just don't mention to her that it is ALL ALCOHOL!! You may not like the response! tee hee

I have to mention the embelly on the bottom left side of the card.

I am like a cockroach in the dollar in my town. You would not believe

the things you can find! One day I found some bobby pins,

with a bunch of rhinestones on them. I knew when I saw them that

they would be PERFECT for my cards! I got a bunch in all

different colors. I just love em!

Wednesday is here again, and with it comes the MyGrafico Challenge!

This week for Challenge #76 the theme is GIRLY and we got to
work with Blackleaf Studio's Unicorn Digi's! I really love their stuff =)

Funniest part is, I actually asked Blackleaf Studios to make this a Digi Set

as they already had a clip art set of these adorable Unicorns.

The next day they had a digit stamp set made with them,

so of course I purchased them RIGHT AWAY!!

2 weeks later, Tazza (the MG DT Coordinator) selected

them for us all to work with for this challenge!

So needless to say this was a super easy challenge for me!

I couldn't resist adding all the sparkle after I colored her up

with my Prisma Color pencils.

Added some bling, flowers & rhinestone brads,

the A Muse sentiment and VIOLA! I was done!

I know exactly WHO I am sending this card too *grin*

Calling all Designers With Attitude! Digi's With Attitude! is currently accepting applications for the next term. Be Brave! Be Sassy! Get the 'Tude and apply TODAY!

Requirements:

Must be willing to commit to a 4-month term. January 2010 – April 2010

During your term you will submit 1 project a week using Digi’s With Attitude! Digital Stamps. Therefore you must understand how to use Digital Stamps.

In an effort to share your creations, you must have a well-maintained blog that you will be required to post your projects on.

You may be asked to participate in Blog Hops (no more than once a month - with a min. 2 weeks notice). You may also be asked to post promotions, or events for Digi’s With Attitude!

If you currently a DT member for another company you are more than welcome to apply if you think you can fulfill the above stated requirements. However, no experience is necessary.

Application deadline: Midnight (EST) December 27th, 2010 (first project due Jan 5th 2011)

Design Team Benefits:

I had so much fun coloring up Kitkat!

I really do giggle every time I play with

one of the Animals With Attitude!

They are just too adorable!

I did use some grey prisma colored pencils when I

colored up Kitkat but it is hard to see in the photos.

Next time, I am coloring her in PINK!

What is it with me and coloring animals in Blues & Pinks? lol

I figure it this way, they are cartoons, so you can color

them in any color you like! Right?

I finished off the card with a Digi's With Attitude! Sentiment

which I thought was perfect for KitKat.

I know the Dolphins are not playing in the Grey Cup, and frankly our Thanksgiving is over as it was in October and I am not too pleased about missing out on all the turkey that will be on your tables soon!

I printed the Dolphin Logo offline, and added some glitter to spice

him up a bit, as he was rather drab. Then I stamped the "M"

on Cheerleader Gretchen's top too. I used Dolphin team colors

when prisma coloring her. Then finished it all with some more

sparkle and shimmer. Ya, I know it's a guy card...

but I always chick-er-ize everything! haha

I certainly do NOT want to mess with her! haha

I almost colored her up in blue... but figured for the debut I should

do her up in browns and settled for blue for her bow.

I imagined her colored in blue, thinking;

"That dang groomer mixed up the dye colors"!!!

Bwahahaha!!

*Snort* I just crack up every time I see her face!

I am posting this on the RIGHT day this time!
I accidentally posted this last week,
sometimes I am such a scatter brain!

When I saw the set available for our challenge this week at MyGrafico,

I just knew that Gretta Gobble was going to fit perfectly with the theme.

I just love this stamp inside the awesome frame made by

CupCake Cutiees

The autumn frame was a PNG so I could easily print Gretta in it.

I used a glue pen and made the entire frame sticky and added Martha Stewart Glitter.

Embossed some copper paper, used some DP, colored up Gretta, and voila! Done!

For a Special Friend - Miss You

You gotta love those cards you leave until the last minute that keep you up til nearly midnight! I absolutely adore this Digi Stamp from AI Factory. Love You Ella is just too adorable. I knew I wanted to use her to enter yet another card for their DT Call. But of course, one thing leads to another and then I realized that I had to have it in tomorrow to meet the deadline. Normally I have all my DT work in an organizer, so I guess I really should have written this in there too, rather than just save the RSS Email. My bad!! *blushes*

In all truth, the coloring didn't take me long at all, it was the layout and choosing the flowers & ribbon that took me nearly an hour! Yes! I said an hour! What threw me off was the colors in the DP. I really am not fond of these Basic Grey papers. Which is odd as I buy anything that has a BG on it! However, I was not liking this paper set at all. I do need to use it up tho, so I forced myself to use it. Then, when it was all staring me in the face I just couldn't get to a point that I was happy with it. *pouty lip* So hence the hour playing with it. However, sometimes you just have to get on with it right? So this is what I ended up with =)

This weeks AI Factory Challenge called for a die cut or a punch, so I decided on little tiny heart punches to go along with the heart Ella is hugging. This card is for a very special friend I have in the USA. I haven't seen her since she came to visit me in Sept 09 when I was living in Vegas. So hopefully this makes her smile, and makes her get a darn passport so she can come up to the Great White North to visit me! *grin*

Have you seen the new Animals With Attitude!? I am lubbin' Mikey Monkey!

When I was coloring him up, I came up with the sentiment

"Why do they say HANG in there"?

Tee Hee... I thought it was just perfect for Mikey in this pose!

I would much rather that what ever it is that makes people say

"Hang in There" would just pass so I can get on with it! haha

I think Mikey agrees =)

He really was a joy to color. The Animals With Attitude! come to life

right before your eyes, and it's like they speak to you =)

Okay maybe I am off my rocker, but I normally cannot wait to

pull out my prisma color pencils.

I had a perfect vine ribbon in my stash to add to this card.

Not to mention I was lovin the Basic Grey Papers.

Everything went together so perfectly.

Ants at Play & A Birdie Friend DT Entries Corrected

I often browse my favorite digital stamp sites, and recently came across a DT Call over at AI Factory. As many of you know I love AI Factory. So I was elated when I saw their DT Call. I nearly missed the deadline tho, as I penciled it in my planner on the wrong Wednesday! Grrrr! Thank goodness I had a peek there this evening to see how many entires there was, as I noticed the deadline was TONIGHT!! OMGosh! I busted a move to make 2 cards. I really only needed to make one, but I wanted to go the extra mile =)

***Correction*** The Challenge deadline was last night, NOT the DT Call. You still have time to apply for the DT. Read the details here.

The theme for the Challenge/DT Call is "Garden Party"

It was so much fun to play with Spring & Summer Digi's for a change.

I bought this bird a couple months ago, and this was the perfect time to color her up!

I used my prismacolor pencils, and then added some flocking to her feathers.

I think that was the perfect added touch!

I think it is important to play in other challenges when you are part of a DT,

in order to help expose the company you are designing for so I entered in

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch Challenge #75

This really was a fun sketch =)

For the second card I entered in the AI Factory Challenge/DT Call

I chose these adorable ants! Isn't this the cutest image?

I was going to use a "Hurry Up! It's MY Turn" sentiment,

but settled for "Have a Beautiful Day"... I am wishing I would

have created the first sentiment tho.

I used some liquid pearls to the water to make it pop and some

Sakura black glaze to the ants hands and feet so they stand out

a little more too.

Colored with Prismacolor Pencils again, and Stickles on the flowers.

I had to edit the sentiment after I got it all done and on the card, as I noticed it wasn't really dark enough. Grrrr.... However, it says "I JUST got my hair done!" lol

Tony is just lovin' up Tabatha, and she is not at all impressed.

Can you believe the nerve of some people?!?! Who would want to cook Gretta Gobble?? She is not very pleased about being prepped for Thanksgiving Dinner! Not that you can't tell by the look on her face. Haha

Didn't I tell you that she didn't want any part of this festive event?

I really couldn't wait to get my Prisma Colors on her. She is just too adorable!

This is the kind of stamp that makes you chuckle the entire time you are coloring it.

I still laugh every time I look at this card and even while I look at her while I create this post!

My Grafico Challenge # 73 - Autumn Colors

I have to admit I was a tad intimidated by this challenge. I have never colored a leaf in my life! Not to mention Lindsay's leaves were so life like! Wow! I was really worried I was gonna make myself look like an idiot trying to color the leaves to look life like. Lucky for me the leaves are all on the ground here, so it was easy to grab one, and use it as a color reference to color the 2 digital images I printed.

When I was finished coloring and blending the images, I actually ironed the leaves in some wax paper to give them more of a glossy look. Then I bent and crinkled them. I think both techniques made the leaves look more life like. I must say I am very very pleased with the way they turned out. I surprise even myself sometimes!

Digi's With Attitude has a sketch challenge today! I love sketch challenges. It takes care of most of the design work for me! All I have to do is pick my image & papers and start to create!

This week the Inkie Inkprintz Girls used Grumpy Gretchen "Big Deal Birthday" I just love this digital stamp. It is so much fun to color!

I also am totally in love with this ribbon! It has such a smooth and silky texture. I have it in green and yellow. I am rationing it as I got it in Sudbury (which is 1 1/2 hrs away). I will be so sad when I run out *pouty lip*

Of course I had to add a lot of flowers to balance off the left corner. Another 'Ink-Bellishment' I cannot live without *grin* If flowers and ribbon disappeared from the paper crafting world tomorrow... I just know I would end up in a rubber room!! haha

Emo Amber Prays - Pray for a Cure

These "Emo" Digital Stamps by Just Some Lines are just too stinkin' adorable! I own quite a few of them. This particular one is "Emo Amber Prays" I had bought her a while ago. Then my girlfriend posted something about Breast Cancer on her Facebook Page, and this stamp came to mind. I have been meaning to post it for some time so I can send her the card, as she inspired me to make it. I don't think she reads my blog, as she is not a papercrafter. So she may not even see the card until it reaches her house in California.

The card actually sits like an easel card. I love the ruffled ribbon look. It is fun to do too!

Normally I sew it down, but this ribbon is thinner, so you lose a lot of the ruffled effect.

On the front I wanted to make Amber look like she was in a picture frame. So I pulled out some Christmas Decoration hooks I got on sale years ago. They are an "S" shape. I placed them at the bottom of the matted image and then placed some Rhinestone Flowers in them and one at the top to give it a framed look. The little butterfly came in a pack of about 20 at the Dollar Store for a buck.

I am so thrilled I was asked to stay on with the My Grafico Design Team!! Yay Me!!

I was originally selected to be on the GDT for October, but I was thrilled when I found out I was staying on longer. So I am now an offical MG DT Member!

This week over at the MyGrafico Challenge #72 brings some Sparkle fun!

I thought these little clip art owls were so much fun! (If I type 'fin' one more time I give up! lol)

I had so much fun adding the shimmer with my Sakura gel pens to the owls.

Not to mention the googly eyes! I much preferred ONE google eye on each owl tho. Too stinkin cute!

My mum picked me up a bunch of plastic spiders last week at the $1 Store so I had to squish the spider onto my glue pad then pour some sparkle all over her. Loooove it! The spiders even came with cotton, so I was all set to put her on the card!

I finished off the card by adding some itty bitty rhinestone stars over the stars on the clip art, and rhinestones on the circles on the digi paper. It almost looks like the owls are on stage ready to preform their little Halloween skit! tee hee

Christmas Party Invitations Order & FREE SVG File

I had a recent order for 60 Christmas Party Invitations. I do not normally take on such an order, as I really really REALLY hate repetition. Did I mention really? haha

However, this order was from my 'other mother' Sharon, (my mom's best friend - who acts like my mom too! tee hee) so I really couldn't refuse. When I take on a larger order I do consider my time first, then the cost of materials. My time is the hardest cost to collect on, supplies are easy to charge for. Regardless, for the amount I was paid I think we both got a good deal.

I knew I was going to do a post card style invitation. So I started there. Deciding that the printed part of the invitation (which I made in Word) would lay on a red piece of card stock. I wanted something to 'pop' off the invite, so I decided to go with a classy looking reindeer. Which I have generously uploaded for your personal use HERE in SVG Format and HERE in MTC format.

The MTC file has all 12 reindeer on one page that I placed as best I could to use the least amount of paper.

I applied some glue from a glue pen on the antlers and dusted them with Gold Martha Stewart Glitter. Then, did the same with the nose, except I used red on the noses. I decided it was easiest to use a Sakura Shimmer Gel Pen and draw in the eyes to save time. I placed a tree brad on each invite, then finished them off by adding some Gold Stickles to the Title.
They turned out simple, yet classy. Which is exactly what I wanted.

Fiery Gretchen is definitely Too HOT to Handle! I am sure you are already thinking of a special guy to give a card with THIS image to! I know I am *grin* I played around online for about an hour before I made the card and found some really awesome challenges to enter too! I just challenging myself to incorporate more than one challenge! So much fun =)

I am really NOT a big fan of yellow but I was really pleased with the way this card turned out. I figured it was yellow or orange. I was going to do a red hat and red on the boot straps. I had my red marker out... but totally forgot! Boo Hiss! Oh well, I will so that next time!

If you read my blog a lot, you probably notice that I pretty much put flowers on EVERYTHING!

One of the Challenges called for a masculine card... and well Hey! Flowers are manly in black! haha

Only trouble was, I didn't have any black flowers so I made one.

I really took the plunge with this card... and colored it ALL in markers for the very first time!

My Prisma Colored Pencils just laid there weeping, aching to color but I wanted to challenge myself

in preparation for my upcoming Copics investment... I am a tad bit scared... but I think I did ok with

the Non-Copics on this card =)

A Candy Cane Christmas!

I am not sure how I came across this image, I am thinking it was a freebie from The Stamping Boutique. But isn't it adorable?!?! I was sifting thru my Christmas Digi Images, and this one hollered "Color Me"! How could I refuse? So I pulled up the weekly Mojo Monday Sketch, and found that this image was a perfect match! My lucky day =)

She is just too much fun! So many places to put sparkle and glitter! I love it!

I noticed that I didn't like the strong blue eyeshadow, so I softened it by adding shimmer in the pic below.

I was much happier with the sparkle look, than the blue.

Wednesday brings another MyGrafico Challenge. This is the 2nd last week I am on the GDT there. I will be so sad to leave at the end of the month *pouty lip* It is such a great team and I really love all the stuff MyGrafico has!

For this Challenge, which required EMBOSSING I created a coffee date card!

The cup is actually clip art. So I used my Sakura Shimmer Gel Pens to color on the grey image to make it pop a little more. Then I added a rub on shape (flower) so give the image a little design. I topped off the cup with some Liquid Applique (I considered that embossing as I had to use a heat gun! haha) to give it a foamy look. I was super excited about the big brown button as I thought it kinda looked like a giant coffee bean (even if it is round lol)

I really love playing with all the Digi's With Attitude! Images, but I have to admitt, that sometimes there are just other images that appeal to me. I am sure I am not alone in the fact that we all have our favorites, but we dabble in playing with other companies too! I really like Character Cafe. They have some ubber cute images. This particular image said BUY ME as soon as I saw it... No No!! Not coz I "AM" totally nutty!! lmbo!

It's No Big Deal But...

I always say, "Birthday's are like belly buttons. All you really need is one" lol... So if you are like me, you don't get overly excited about your birthday coming up. It just means I am another year older. Grumpy Gretchen feels the same way! The inside of the card reads "You are another year older". There are quite a few sentiments in the Shop that go well with this digi image.

Hello! Is this cake not a coloring dream!?!? I had so much fun coloring it! I added the liquid pearls to make it pop, and really loved how it turned out =)

I saw the digi stamps for us to use for the MyGrafico Challenge #70 and I knew right away that I had to do a Margarita Card! I have been wanting to do one, so this Challenge was perfect. I made the card & lime myself in MTC and have the SVG file to share with you FREE HERE. If you would like the MTC FREE file it is HERE. You should really come play along in the MyGrafico Challenge. The prizes are fantastic =)

After I was completely done the card and taking a picture of it, I have to say I slapped myself as I created the sentiment "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere" myself, and thought it was perfect... BUT then I noticed the clock read 8:30!! *shakes head* I have to laugh at myself sometimes! haha

Winter Gretchen & MyGrafico Challenge

I am sorry I have not posted too much lately. With the store opening and everything else I have been sooooo buzy! It was Thanksgiving this past weekend in Canada too. I did however find time to make a bunch of cards yesterday tho! Yay me! It was nice to spend some time going back to the beginning and being the stamper rather than the shop owner, blogger, or running a DT.

I really love Winter Gretchen! She really is one of my all time favorites. When I saw the Mojo Monday Sketch #160 I knew I was going to use her on the card. I pulled out my Christmas Papers for the first time this year too! Oh how I love Christmas Papers... Almost as much as I love Halloween Papers! haha

I used some very tiny chalk pom poms to cover up the actual snowball in her mitts and on the ground. I was really pleased that they were the perfect size!

The DT I am on for My Grafico posted their Weekly Challenge # 69. I was mortified when I realized that I completely missed posting my card. I was a week behind in my mind... So it never made it to my blog. I think it must have been the whole clown thing that threw me off. I really did have the hardest time with this card, as I really do NOT like clowns! So go figure it would be my very first challenge with them! lol Here is my card just the same.

I think I am really supposed to look at the image and think... Awww isn't he cute? but I just can't! lol.... I had to put a post it note over him when I was piecing the card together! Egads! lol Imagine what it was like for me to color him...

Anyhow the Challenge was to "Pop It Up" so I took one of the 8 1/2 X 11 sheets of Digi Paper and sized it small enough to make a pinwheel of sorts. It is in the top left corner of the card. I cut 2 out and used foam pop its to layer them to try and make it look like a pinwheel. I think it turned out pretty good.

I wish I could make all the sparkle and such show up in the photo. It really is sparkly in person.

I have to say that these last few weeks have been crazy for me. I got selected to be on the MyGrafico GDT, had to select 10 ladies for my own DT(which was extremely hard). I can't believe how much work is involved in launching digital stamps! Whoa! lol
I mean... I am asking myself "Where did my life go"? I totally know all this hard work and dedication is totally worth it.. and one day I will look back and laugh at how stressed out I would get over all this and be living my dream! I do know that I am loving the thought of actually coloring more than 2 of the images I have!I certainly know that all of you will be doing back flips over the new Grumpy Gretchen line and are most likely dying to color her too!

My "Little Girl" Crafting Studio...

I have had people ask me to post pictures of my "Studio"... So I finally got around to taking some pictures. Now, I am not proud of my space... Please do not think I am boasting or bragging in anyway! I ache to have a BIG GIRL scrapbook room that is... well... less cluttered! I have a touch (OK a lot!) of OCD and if things are cluttered and not in their proper place I tend to stress out over it! *rolls eyes* I drive people nuts with my OCD lol
I think my Studio looks mix matched and could use a serious makeover....!!

Gizmo Shadow Box Frame

This past winter was Gizmo's (my pug) first real winter in Canada. Seeing as we used to live in WA State, then in Vegas he has really no experience with serious snow! The snow sure falls in Northern Ontario, and I love it! I can't say as much for Gizmo. I walk him a lot, and in the winter it is so sad to see him lift and try to nurse his frozen little paws. I would bend over and 'huff' on them, or try and warm them up in my hands but I don't think it helped much.

Finally I decided I was buying him some winter clothes. Hat, scarf, coat, boots n' all! This was a pretty cheap set (Walmart), and the boots fell off him constantly, so I quickly invested in a $60 pair of MutLucks. The Mutlucks are fantastic! Even though he HATES wearing them, they do keep his paws toasty warm!

Here you can see what he thought the first time I put him in his winter gear (with the cheap boots)... lmbo! My mum and I nearly pee'd our pants trying to take pictures. He was NOT having this!! Bwahahaha

He actually looks really ridiculous doesn't he? *snort* I love it! It makes me smile every time I look at this picture. Oh my... I love you so much Giz!

Anyhow, I am so buried in getting Grumpy Gretchen launched, selecting a DT, and setting up the new store, I haven't the time to create or should I say FINISH anything I have started right now. However, I made this a few months back, and thought you may enjoy it just the same as I didn't want to leave you Inkie Postless today =)

The shadow box and paper are from Dollar Store. Painted it, added the paper, some primas (which I spiced up with gel pens, ink and brads) inked the edges, shimmer sprayed it and I was done! It was really easy. I actually made 4 in a couple hours. I gave one of the 4 to Grandma with this picture in it for Grandog sitting, she loved it!
