My "Little Girl" Crafting Studio...

I have had people ask me to post pictures of my "Studio"... So I finally got around to taking some pictures. Now, I am not proud of my space... Please do not think I am boasting or bragging in anyway! I ache to have a BIG GIRL scrapbook room that is... well... less cluttered! I have a touch (OK a lot!) of OCD and if things are cluttered and not in their proper place I tend to stress out over it! *rolls eyes* I drive people nuts with my OCD lol
I think my Studio looks mix matched and could use a serious makeover....!!

View of the space my mum or friends use

My work space

My baby boy at my feet! Love ya Gizmo XOXO

The 'cutting' station (or desk lol)

The Cricut & TV... MUST HAVES!

The other side of room (MESSY! Urgh)

MY DREAM ROOM! THIS is a BIG GIRL ROOM! lol
With exception to the table in the middle I love this room!
I would prefer a nice working station in the middle.
With storage below. Cubbies that could hold nice wicker baskets maybe.
Sigh... For now I will just have to "Dream" =)

Gizmo Shadow Box Frame

This past winter was Gizmo's (my pug) first real winter in Canada. Seeing as we used to live in WA State, then in Vegas he has really no experience with serious snow! The snow sure falls in Northern Ontario, and I love it! I can't say as much for Gizmo. I walk him a lot, and in the winter it is so sad to see him lift and try to nurse his frozen little paws. I would bend over and 'huff' on them, or try and warm them up in my hands but I don't think it helped much.

Finally I decided I was buying him some winter clothes. Hat, scarf, coat, boots n' all! This was a pretty cheap set (Walmart), and the boots fell off him constantly, so I quickly invested in a $60 pair of MutLucks. The Mutlucks are fantastic! Even though he HATES wearing them, they do keep his paws toasty warm!

Here you can see what he thought the first time I put him in his winter gear (with the cheap boots)... lmbo! My mum and I nearly pee'd our pants trying to take pictures. He was NOT having this!! Bwahahaha

He actually looks really ridiculous doesn't he? *snort* I love it! It makes me smile every time I look at this picture. Oh my... I love you so much Giz!

Anyhow, I am so buried in getting Grumpy Gretchen launched, selecting a DT, and setting up the new store, I haven't the time to create or should I say FINISH anything I have started right now. However, I made this a few months back, and thought you may enjoy it just the same as I didn't want to leave you Inkie Postless today =)
The shadow box and paper are from Dollar Store. Painted it, added the paper, some primas (which I spiced up with gel pens, ink and brads) inked the edges, shimmer sprayed it and I was done! It was really easy. I actually made 4 in a couple hours. I gave one of the 4 to Grandma with this picture in it for Grandog sitting, she loved it!

Thanks for poppin' by to check in on me (((Hugs)))

Picture Perfect & My Exciting News!

First of all I am just DYING to reveal what I was hinting about yesterday. If you read any of my comments you will have noticed that Tazza popped over and commented on my Werewolf Cowboy Card. Funny thing is when I received the email that said "OMG I SO love that card! LOL... BTW You have made the GDT! I can't wait to have you join the team! Thanks bunches!" I thought it was an email and replied to it!! I was so excited about the actual statement, I totally did not notice it was a blogger comment email notification! Duh me!! Oh well... We all have our moments. Wait until you all see what is in store for the MyGrafico October Challenges! I am sooooo excited! You should really come play along. Tazza has some awesome prizes, the DT is so inspiring, and it's just an all around fun place to check out each week. I can't wait to see you play along with all of us =)

For this card (which actually stands with an easel back) I followed Mojo Monday # 157 and Kenny K's Krafty Gilz Challenge #11. I can't believe Julee is in Mojo Week 157!! I remember Week #1...Where does time go!?!? Kenny's Girlz challenges us to "Stitch It". I absolutely love to stitch my ruffled ribbon, so I was all over this challenge. Then I noticed that A Spoon Full of Sugar has an "Anything Goes" Challenge #122 so I am going to link it up over there too!

I always pull out my paper after I choose an image (before I color it so I can match coloring to DP). When I pulled out my Basic Grey - Sultry 6X6 Papers and saw this sheet, I just knew that Kenny K's Queen's Cutie would look perfect on it! So of course I had to buy her right away! I figured I could make her look like she was sitting in a flowery meadow, or on a cloud of sorts. Posing for her picture perfect moment! I put a few foam dots behind her torso and head so that it appeared as tho she was leaning forward a tad. The rest of her body sits flat on the paper.

I love punching out flowers and making my own, but for this challenge I used up some Primas and some dollar store paper flowers. Adhered them with a brad, wet them down, pinched them all into a ball, opened them back up and let dry. Then I added the pearl button to the center. Ruffled the ribbon, then stitched it to make it stay in place a little better. The sentiment is one that I made myself.

Ink-Gredients:
Paper: Basic Grey - Sultry 6X6 Pad
Coloring: Primas -
Hair: 941, 940 & 914
Top & Boots: 1018, 938, 930, 1070 & 1072
Pants: 989, 1005 & 988
Face: 927
Sakura Sparkle Gel Pens for necklace, eyes, and boots.
Ink-Bellishments: Mini Rhinestones, Butterfly & Flowers (Dollarama),
Button, Primas, and Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. Your comments really do make my day!

I'm Sweet, Fabulous & Sassy! Altered Project

I have been stalking a few blogs in search of some challenges that appeal to me. I recently found All Sorts & Charisma Cardz.

All Sorts has a challenge for 3 punches for Week 70 & Charisma Cardz has a neat card sketch for Challenge # 37. So I did em' both! Even though this is not a card, I still think it was pretty creative =)
I am especially thrilled about it because not only is an altered project (my favorite way to play) but it was something I actually made for myself! *grin*

I adore Uptown Angel by Kenny K and I have been meaning to buy it for a while. Let's just say I was inspired to grab her today. I had a super fantastic day and am feeling pretty Sweet, Fabulous and Sassy all at the same time. I can't reveal my super exciting news until tomorrow, but let me tell you this... You will understand the sentiment I created for this image when I spill it tomorrow! lol

If you like this sentiment, watch for it to be available soon over at My Inkie Fingers - Digi's With Attitude. Yes, you read that right... I just revealed the new store name! Wait until you all get a sneak peak at the new stamp line. I am hoping to post a rough draft sneak peek on Friday. Cross your fingers XXXX!!!!

I love coloring with my prismas, but am secretly aching to invest in some Copics. I think my coloring is pretty good, but the copic colored images really blow my coloring right out of the water! I used a lot of my glitter Sakura Gel Pens on this image, and used spray glitter on the image and the black bg where the rhinestone flourish is. I love anything that sparkles!

In this close up you can see where I used the punches and made my own flowers for the All Sortz Challenge I also sprayed them with Shimmer Spray to make them sparkle. I have a new found love for making my own flowers from punches. I am sure many of you already know how to do this. If you don't and would like me to do a tutorial I can (if more than one person asks) If not you can always check out Penny Duncan Creations. She has a great tutorial over on her blog. Here is a link to her Flower Tutorials. Be warned... your jaw will DROP! She has some amazing flowers!!

Challenges... Challenges... Oh what fun! FREEBIES TOO!!

Yesterday I posted a card that involved 2 challenges... Well after I finished and posted it, I went to work and completed a card that involves 3 challenges! So I am feeling really creative right about now! It really was a lot of fun!

As some of you already know, I have been aiming to submit for the My Grafico GDT. The rules are pretty simple for their weekly challenges, but for the GDT you must submit 3 out of 4 weeks. Seeing as I was away last week I missed my 3rd week in a row. (Boo Hiss) But! Have no fear tho! I am sneaking in my 3rd out of 4 weeks total today!
This week called for 'metal' (so I used brads) not to mention they had some really cool "Bandana Digi Papers - by Tainted Sweets". I had to own! (I could have chanced winning them, but I had to buy them right away! lol knew I wanted to do a Halloween theme, so all I had to do was pick up the digi papers from their store (which were sooooo on sale! ya!) and alter the hue (as the colors didn't work for my theme). This is really easy to do in Paint.net. You just select 'Adjustments', then 'Hue/Saturation' and play with the 'Hue' until you get the color you are looking for. Easy Peezy! All 3 of the patterned papers on this card were from the Bandana Collection too! Amazing what you can do with Digi Papers huh?

For the second challenge I thought about this "Werewolf" Digi stamp I picked up over at Just Inklined a couple weeks ago. Isn't he just too stinkin' cool?!?! I am entering this card in the GDT Challenge over there for October. I just KNEW that this werewolf was crying for a cowboy hat to match the My Grafico digi papers I mentioned above. So I created one on my cricut. Feel free to download the SVG or MTC files for the cowboy hat. Please remember my sharing rules *wink*

I distressed the top layer of the hat with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink. Just to give it a more lifelike look. I love the way it turned out! It really looks like it was made for the actual Werewolf Digi! I added some twine to make a lasso, and of course my own sentiment. Using the "Chiller" font (on most people's pc already) I typed "NO!! I'm a COWBOY...RAH!!" I still giggle when I look at the card!

The last of the 3 challenges I played in, was a sketch challenge. Which I stumbled across over at Sketch Saturday. I will certainly be playing along with them again. Their sketches are cute, and they have some awesome sponsors! Check them out! It is worth the click =)

Ink-Gredients:
Paper: My Grafico Bandana Digi Paper, White & Black CS
Misc: Prismacolors; 911, 1085, 1052, 945, 1089, 935 & 1068
Sakura Gel Pens & Tombo Shader.
Ribbon, Twine, Brads, and Stitching with Sewing Machine

Happy Stampin! Thanks for stoppin by to visit me! (((Hugs)))

Halloween Challenge - Witchy Kitty

YAY!! I am home!! Home and stampin my lil' heart out, reading DT applications, getting the rough draft of the stamp line ready for the artist finalists, getting posts ready, catchin up on my favorite blogs, walkin the dog ... and trying to catch a bite to eat here and there. Never a moments rest! haha

I have been anxiously awaiting the Just Inklined Halloween Challenge because I just LOVE their stamps. They have such a unique line! I recently purchased "Halloween Kitty" Did you know that if you sign up for their newsletter you get free digi's and discounts? If you not already on their mailing list what are you waiting for?? You can sign up on the same page I linked to for the stamp =)

I don't normally combine challenges, but I saw the Friday Sketcher Challenge at Friday Sketches and had to play along and combine it with Just Inklined Challenge. Of course, as with any sketch, it's just a guideline, so I went with it. Besides, who doesn't love playing along when not only can you create a great project you can possibly win cool prizes? Duh!

I had this cute little witch hat, and couldn't help myself. I had to tilt it on the kitty's ear. I thought it matched perfectly! I wish you could see all the Sakura Glitter Gel pens I used, but they are so hard to see in pics.

I think I may have to combine a challenge or two again, it is so much more fun =) I can't wait to launch the new stamp line and have Inkie Challenges too! How much fun will THAT be!?!?!?

Ink-Gredients:
Stamps: Just Inklined Halloween Kitty & Memory Box (trick or treat)
Paper: Bo Bunny, SU Summer Sun & Eggplant Envy and White CS
Misc: Prismacolors;911,1085,1052,945,1089,935 & 1068.
Sakura Gel Pens & Tombo Shader.
Ribbon & sticker sheet from Dollarama (Hat on Kitty)

UPDATE: I feel terrible that I nearly forgot to give Penny Duncan a toot for her amazing Shaplies!! I used one of her files for the 2 layers under the 3" circle with the digi stamp. They are just way too cool! She has put in countless hours to make them I am sure. If you know what a Nestability (oops... don't wanna make anyone mad lol) is then you are sure to fall head over heals for Penny's Shaplies! I use them all the time.

In case you missed it, my DT & DT Leader call has been posted click here for details.

Digital Paper Download Heaven! All FREE!!

I recently found a new love for Digital Papers. Seeing as I live in the middle of (practically) nowhere it is hard for me to find all the Designer Papers that I love. Or new ones to fall in love with. No matter the size of the digi paper downloaded you can always print them on your 8-1/2 X 11 cardstock & printer. When you figure the cost out per sheet, it really is a lot cheaper than buying designer paper. Now, I have purchased some digital papers recently, but I got to thinking... I was curious if I could find any good digital papers online. Oh my! Did I ever!! Then I thought what kind of person would I be if I didn't share the links with all of you? *bats lashes*

Here are the 2 best links I found (so far) Feel free to share your favorite links (for free digi papers) in the comments.

Shabby Princess
Computer Scrapbook.com

I only saved the digital papers, and not the elements as I am just not ready to 'digi scrap'. I am a texture, layer and feel it person. I just can't wrap my head around scrappin on the pc yet... not sure I ever will. I know there are some AMAZING digi scrappers out there, but I am just not ready to go there yet.

Enjoy the links =)

Free Dolphins Football SVG

Seeing as I am still away and unable to create, I wanted to share an SVG I made today. I am aching to stamp and just be in my studio =(

I found the Dolphins Logo online and made an SVG HERE or you can download the MTC File HERE.

All my FREE files can be found HERE.

As usual, please do not share the files on your sites. Please link back to my blog. Comments are very much appreciated for downloading my files =)

Enjoy!

(P.S. The deadline for the Artist Call I posted has been changed. If you are still wanting to apply please see the post for the new deadline. I will also be posting my DT Call very very soon!)

Free Digi

I am away right now and not able to create so I thought I would post yet another Free Bratz Digi saved in a PNG format for your stamping pleasure. Everyone seems to really like the Bratz! I thought this one was really cute. Please be sure to leave a comment if you download her =)

I am still battling with finding a store front, so that is taking up most of my pc time. I appreciate the suggestions on easy to use store fronts very much. Keep em' coming =)
Don't forget to keep an eye out for my DT call. I can't wait to have some amazing 'Inkie Girls' join the team! Hmmmm... I just thought of that for a DT Name on the spur of the moment... What do you think? I would love to hear your opinions and suggestions on what to name my DT! I may even have a special little gift for the person who suggests a name that I decide to use!

Have a Happy Stampin' Day!

Store Front Suggestions??

I am sooooo frustrated! I haven't crafted in days as I am trying to set up my store. This just seems way to difficult. I am a stamper not a webmaster!!.... ok... *deeeeep breath* lol

I have tried Zen Cart, Magento, and Tomatocart. I hate them!! They are too difficult for me to figure out, not to mention the tech support is terrible. Tried Weebly, but it doesn't seem as tho I can redirect customers to a download link after purchase. I have a host, and a domain. I want to do is, allow my customers to have an account, check out with PayPal, and then be directed to a link for an instant download. Oh, and I want my banner and to be able to send out the occasional newsletter.

I would really appreciate some suggestions on some stores that I do not have to pay (or pay very little for) as I am already paying for a host for my domain. I don't know where else to turn, or who to ask. So I thought I would ask the stamping experts! lol

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you make a suggestion and I choose it, I will give you the stamp of your choice when the new line launches!

Update: If more than one person suggests the same store, the digi goes to the first one who suggested it.

Thanks =)

2 Blog Awards!?!?!? Who will I nominate?

I was so lucky and honored to be nominated TWICE this week for the Cherry on Top Award! Thanks so much to both  Celeste and Stacie! They are both so kind and generous and I appreciate the award immensely! (((hugs)))

Here are the Rules to play by:

The rules are simple.

1.Thank the person who gave it to you: - Check but THANKS AGAIN!

2.Put the award on your blog: - Done

3.Tell everyone three things that you love:  My scrapbook room, my family, and my dog.

4.A picture you love: (Gizmo - my favorite little man in the entire world!)

Gizmo when he was just a wee thang! This is my all time favorite picture.

Gizmo last year.

I got Gizmo when I lived in WA State from Perry's Pups in Oklahoma in Feb of 2008. They are just the best people in the dog business! If you have ever wanted a pug, or know someone that does, I highly recommend them!
Gizmo was just 8 weeks old when he flew on a plane from OK to WA into my aching arms! He smelled like puppy pee and was all stinky, but I kissed him and cuddled him and cried for 10 minutes! I never knew I could love something as much as I love my Giz!

5.Pass the award on to five blogs you love:

I am going to the break the rules too and award this blog to the first 5 people that have blogs that comment on this post! The only rule I have is you have to have posted somewhere on my blog at some point before. I want everyone to have a fair chance to have this adorable award! So Good Luck! (((Hugs)))

Staying Organized Steno Book - Altered Project

There are a lot of challenges I want to do, and some GDTs & DT's I wish to apply for and sometimes it is a task keeping the criteria and deadlines all in order. So I decided to recover this steno book and keep everything all in one place. This way I am organized and on top of things. I also keep track of my special orders for cards and what cards I need to make (personal reasons - or for DTs I am on). Lastly, I keep track of Blog Post Ideas. For instance, someone recently asked me how I make my own shimmer mist, so I wrote that in my Blog Posts Ideas section so I do not forget to post about it (which I will do soon I promise)

I did recently buy a Zutter, but I still have an addiction for recovering Steno Books! They are so much fun. I must have a dozen of them all for different things around my house. I hopped over to Kenny K to snatch up this adorable digi for the front of the book. I thought she was perfect for the cover! She reminds me of myself like 20 years ago! haha

Ink-Gredients:
Paper: My Minds Eye -Deena's Penny Lane & Bazzill - Textured CS
Stamps: Kenny K - Kitty Katastrophe
Misc: Prismacoloring Pencils; 905, 947, 1018, 1089, 942, 929, 1086, 1030, 912, 938, 930 & 927. Singo Gel Pens, Stickles, Ribbon, Misc Flowers and Brads.

G.I. MOM Scrapbook Page - FREE SVG & FONT

I was absolutely SHOCKED when my mum showed up at my house BALD (ok almost bald)! I nearly fell over! Actually, I slammed the door in her face, not once but TWICE. She laughed so hard she nearly pee'd her pants! Apparently, she was 'clipping' my dad's hair and he dared her to do hers. Well, if there is anything you don't do to myself or my mum is dare us to do something. Or worse, tell us we can't do something!! lol

As soon as the shock wore off I knew I had to scrapbook this! I had so much fun making her do different poses for the page. I knew what I was looking for in the pictures, and she was such a good sport! I must have taken 10 - 15 photos. It really was fun!

Only trouble was I didn't want to scrap it on traditional 'Army/Camo' papers. So I created my own! I used my cricut and created a camo layout. I cut the same SVG twice. Once in dark pink and once in black. I layed the dark pink cut out on light pink paper, and randomly placed the black pieces (which I had to trim by hand in places) in some of the 'negative spaces' that I didn't want the dark pink. I hope you understand what I mean. When you look at the SVG FILE HERE you will understand. The G.I. MOM font is HERE Please do not give this SVG out for free. I created it, so link it back to me. Thanks =)

I also wanted the page to be more 'girlie' so I added a lot of bling, brads and some ribbon. I love the way it turned out =)

Ink-Gredients:
Paper: Bazzill Textured CS
Misc: Dollarama Corner Rhinestones, Misc - brads, an eyelet, rhinestones & ribbon. Singo Gel Pen.

Princess Supplies Container

I was rather stumped when I saw the MyGrafico Challenge #64. It is a Back To School Challenge. I have no children so I had no idea what to make. Then I thought of my girlfriend (can't say her name as she hasn't seen or received this yet!) She works for the school board (Ya it's you! I know you are reading this post! lol) So I figured I would make her a Princess Supplies Case for her desk (hope you like it missy!). It was really inspired by my CatsLife Press Stamp. It says; "Yes, I'm a Princess... DIDN'T YOU NOTICE MY CROWN?" Tee Hee!! I love that stamp! So off to work I went!

I pulled out a very old SU Hodgepodge Container that I have been hoarding for years. Grabbed some Damask Polka Dot Digi Paper from MyGrafico and I was ready to go. Would you believe me if I told you that this was the first time EVER that I have used a Digi Paper?!?!? I know huh?!?! I am very very pleased with the quality of the image that it printed. So I recommend buying Digi Paper from MyGrafico for sure!

Next, I needed a crown to stamp my sentiment in. So I went to work and created one in my Make The Cut. I saved the Princess Crown as an SVG HERE for you to use. Please remember my file sharing rules. I also uploaded the Romance Fatal Font HERE. I love that font! I just printed it right in the Digi Paper to save time, as I only allotted an hour for this entire project.

I lined the inside of the tin with some of the Digi Papers printed on plain photocopy paper. The outside of the tin is of course printed on card stock, as is the rest of the Digi Papers. I wanted to put a few little things inside so I made a Post It Note holder, and rolled up some of the Digi Paper and put it in an RSVP Pen. I think it turned out really cute for a project that only took an hour!

UPDATE: What kind of DORK am I!??!?1 Her name is written on the dang tin!! lmbo!! Too Funny =)

Ink-Gredients:
Paper: MyGrafico - Damask Polka Dot Digi Paper, Regular White CS & Photocopy Paper
Stamps: CatsLife Press
Misc: Dollarama Rhinestone Flourish, Misc Rhinestone Brads, Misc Primas, and Misc Ribbon.
